The City of Salt Lake may be in one of
the most scenic locations in the United States with the mountains
and surrounding scenery. Salt Lake City is the largest city in the
State of Utah and is the capital city. It was found in 1847 by
Mormon pioneers and the transcontinental railroad led to the growth
of the city. Tourism though outdoor recreation and industrial
banking are the largest source of commerce for Salt Lake City.
Companies such as Merrill Lynch Bank and Morgan Stanley have their
headquarters here. The city has only one professional sports
franchise, the NBA's Utah Jazz who play at Energy Solutions Arena,
that is located in the downtown area..
