NASHVILLE INFORMATION |
 |
Located along the Cumberland River,
Nashville is the capital of Tennessee and is the second largest city
in the state. Nashville is nicknamed "Music City, USA" because of
its large presence of country music since the Grand Ole Opry was
established in 1925. Because of this, the city is the home of the
Country Music Hall of Fame. Nashville is also the home to health
care, publishing and transportation industries. Two professional
sports franchises call the city home. The Tennessee Titans (NFL)
play at LP Field and the Nashville Predators (NHL) play at the
Sommet Center.
